World Record Attempt!

On Sunday 14th August we are going to set up an Olympic-style Piste (courtesy of Leon Paul) in the café of Leicester’s Curve Theatre, from there we will be breaking the world record officially called: MOST PARTICIPANTS IN A TEAM FENCING EXHIBITION MATCH.

We have had fencers of all disciplines and skill levels apply to help us break the record, the full timetable as it currently is can be found here: http://bit.ly/LFCWRTimes (this is subject to additions of fencers but otherwise should not change).

We are also fundraising via Just Giving to help to cover the costs of running this event (all participants are providing their time & expertise as volunteers) but also we would like to be able to provide some more funding for club kit to aid our fencers in both training and some more competition ready clothing. Click here to donate. In addition to this we will be holding a raffle of prizes kindly donated by places in the local community.

If we hit our goal (both for the record and the funding) we will also donate a chunk of the proceeds to a local charity of our choice.

For further information please do drop us a line at: chair@leicesterfencingclub.co.uk otherwise we will see you on Sunday!

This record could not have been attempted without the fantastic support of the following.
